The Institute for Development and Social Initiative IDIS - Viitorul" will start a campaign to encourage the peoples participation in the 2009 legislative elections.
The initiative is part of the - Stimulation of Civilian Responsibility during 2009 Election Campaign" project, the organization says in a communiquÃ©, quoted by Info-Prim Neo.
The campaign will include audio and video social spots, different motivational materials, three concerts, etc. IDIS expresses readiness to cooperate with other NGOs and with the Central Election Commission in making the voters more responsible towards the voting process and the politicians towards their electoral promises, the communiquÃ© says.
The project is financed mainly by the European Commissions Delegation to Moldova through the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights. It aims to make the Moldovan people more interested in the democratic processes, especially the 2009 elections, and monitor the Parliaments actions after elections. As part of the project, there will be worked out the Voters Guide that will contain exhaustive information about the central public institutions.
